What Certifications Can We Provide?

Inserito da ZHOU WANGWANG il giorno

We can provide gemstone certificates issued by either the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or a Chinese geological testing institution.

Please note that GIA certificates are available upon request for an additional fee.

We can also provide certificates issued by a Chinese geological testing institution at no additional cost. As a long-term partner of this laboratory, we receive member pricing for gemstone testing, allowing us to offer this service free of charge to our customers.

Please note that certificates issued by Chinese geological testing institutions are written in Chinese, and their verification websites are also in Chinese.

These certificates are officially recognized within China and may serve as supporting evidence in legal disputes involving gemstone authenticity, as well as in regulatory actions against the sale of counterfeit or falsely represented gemstone products.

The prices listed on our website reflect wholesale prices and do not include certification fees. If you require GIA certification, you can click here to check the official GIA testing fees.

Our factory is located in China, and GIA has a testing laboratory in Hong Kong. For GIA certification, we will send the product to their Hong Kong laboratory for testing.

However, it is important to understand the certification process. For instance, crystal tumbled stones and chips are sold by weight, such as 100 grams of tumbled stones or 100 grams of crystal chips, which contain multiple pieces. Certification typically applies to a single item, so if you purchase 100 grams of crystal chips, we will default to sending one selected piece for testing unless you specify the exact number of pieces to be certified.

Additionally, the term "natural crystal" means that the stone was naturally formed.

We only label products that are synthetic or heat-treated. Unless otherwise stated, all of our gemstones are natural and untreated.

Therefore, if you have specific requirements, please let us know whether you are looking for a natural gemstone in general or a completely untreated natural gemstone.

For relatively lower-priced crystal products, due to manufacturing limitations, certain processes are unavoidable. For instance, when crafting natural round beads or carved pieces, the rough stone must be embedded in resin before cutting and polishing to prevent breakage. After extraction and resting, the resin solidifies on the surface before further processing. During polishing, the outer crystal layer is completely removed. However, since most natural stones contain internal fractures, a small amount of resin may seep into the final product. This is an inevitable part of the process. Certifications will explicitly state when minimal resin filling is present. If you encounter such a statement on a certificate, there is no need for concern—this is a standard procedure for lower-priced natural crystal carvings and polished items. Small amounts of resin do not affect the crystal’s energy properties, quality, or appearance.

If you require completely untreated, resin-free products, you would need to opt for jewelry-grade gemstones, such as faceted gemstone necklaces or bracelets. These high-quality raw stones have minimal fractures and are cut from small, high-purity rough stones. Before polishing, they undergo resin impregnation, which is entirely removed during grinding, leaving no resin residue. Since gemstone-grade rough stones are of exceptional quality, they are rare and expensive, leading to higher prices for fine jewelry.

To differentiate them from our standard gemstone products, our jewelry-grade gemstones are labeled as "Premium" on our website.

However, heat treatment is a common and widely accepted enhancement in the gemstone industry. For example, many Citrine gemstones are produced by heating Amethyst, and many Carnelian stones are created by heating naturally pale or grey agate. For this reason, we always indicate on our product pages whether a gemstone has been heat-treated.

Please note that heat treatment is not the same as a synthetic gemstone. Heat treatment does not involve creating an artificial stone. Instead, it uses a naturally formed gemstone and exposes it to controlled high temperatures over a short period of time. This process replicates the color changes that may occur naturally under geological conditions over millions of years, but within a much shorter timeframe. The gemstone remains natural—the treatment only enhances or alters its color.

We generally do not recommend GIA certification for lower-priced natural crystals. The authenticity of most mid- to lower-grade natural gemstones can usually be assessed through their visual characteristics.

In most cases, the cost of producing synthetic crystals exceeds the value of these lower-priced natural materials. Since natural rough stones are abundant and inexpensive, there is little commercial incentive to create synthetic substitutes and market them as natural. As a result, synthetic versions are rarely found in this category.
